This training course aims to bring a shift in student assessment towards an inclusive, personalized and holistic approach. The course will focus on topics like Equity and Inclusion in education, UDL - Universal Design for Learning, formative and summative assessment, assessing skills through rubrics and more. Participants will experiment with a digital app to assess their students and use the innovative student assessment toolkit. The aim is to empower teachers to use and to design innovative assessment tools that can improve student' relationship with assessment and allow for a personalized formative assessment to promote the development of important skills. |  |

												Astronomy Education Adventure in the Canary Islands |

												NUCLIO and the IAC (Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias) join hands again to promote the eighth edition of Astronomy Education Adventure in the Canary Islands. The course consists of five days of lectures and workshops on Astronomy and Astrophysics, with amarked practical and interactive character, emphasizing the use of robotic telescopes for developing students research projects, as well as other resources and online laboratories, inquiry-based learning and the multidisciplinary approach. The program also includes visits (or virtual visits) to the IAC facilities and to the Canary Islands Observatories.

												Enjoy a fantastic time in the heart of the Alps and participate in the Science Workshop hosted by the Austrian Space Forum. After a very long time, we hope to be able to organize a face-to-face course, with the opportunity to visit the Space Suit Laboratory in Innsbruck, Austria. The focus of this science workshop is LaSciL – Large Scientific Infrastructures enriching online and digital Learning – an Erasmus+ project supporting high quality science education. You will experience how astronauts train, learn how to organize a remote observation session with the Faulkes telescopes for your students and interpret the data, and how to use astronomical resources to enrich your lessons. |  |

												The European Space Agency and the Galileo Teacher Training Program join hands again to bring cutting edge training opportunities to all interested teachers. In 2022, we have the opportunity to visit the Science Operations Centre of ESA in Madrid (Spain). Participants will have opportunity to network and to establish a series of research projects in partnership with their colleagues and the scientists supporting the training. Take part in this training course and go back to your school with a research project in your hands. 												The COSPAR Panel on Education will hold training sessions and other events during the COSPAR Assembly. The Panel invites teachers of all grade levels and subject domains willing to dive into a real STEAM experience to participate in two events: 
													COSPAR PE.1: Space Explorers in Schools – Empowering the Next Generation of Researchers;COSPAR PE.2: Current Trends, Initiatives and Research in Education and Outreach for Space Sciences. COSPAR PE.1 consists of a series of training events organized by NUCLIO with support from Ellinogermaniki Agogi (EA) and the COSPAR Panel on Education, and are specially devoted to exchange of best practices for STEAM education, with a focus on Space Exploration in schools. In addition, EA will offer workshops, a visit to the school facilities and to the school astronomical observatory. COSPAR PE.2 is a full-day session that will address the issues in related to research in education for Space Sciences. Abstract submission is open until February 18, so hurry up! If you want to participate in one of both events above, please register below until April 29. A limited number of travel grants is available.

												Global Hands-On Universe invites members and friends to register for GHOU 2022 conference to be held at Kagoshima, Japan, from 22 to 26 August 2022, along the Galileo Teacher Training Program (GTTP) workshop in the same premises. This will be the first hybrid event of this traditional conference, allowing professional astronomers and educators from all over the world to meet and share hands-on and minds-on learning in the framework of the Global Hands-on Universe network.
